Jon + Karrie

Jon and Karrie are the biggest donut and coffee lovers I have ever met! (Michael and I can’t hold a candle to their passion for fried and frosty dough or delicious caffeinated coffees and lattes)!

When we first moved to WI Jon and Karrie welcomed us at our apartment with homemade lattes and fresh donuts from their favorite place in town! (that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship!)

I’ve known Jon and Karrie for a few years now, and I can honestly say I have not met more kind or genuine people. They have a true heart not only for others but also service to others.

While in college, I had the opportunity to know and befriend their eldest daughter. Her love for others was so evident in her actions towards everyone she interacted with, and as I met her family, one by one, I noticed this character trait ran deeply thoughout each member. Their heart for people starts with a heart for Christ and a desire to pursue Him.

Without Christ and his sacrifice for our sin, it is impossible for us to truly love others.

1 John 4:9-11 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
